Samenreis is the result of research carried out in Italy and The Netherlands about the relationship between sound, environment and participation. The title of the record evokes the train trips of the duo during their stay in the Netherlands (samen = together, reis = travel) and the tracks tell us about places quickly experienced by a stranger’s eyes and ears, capable on one hand to capture signals usually hidden by everyday habits and on the other hand to envision expanded mythologies, made real only for those who imagined them.

The content of this record is entirely produced in the anechoic chamber of the HKU in Utrecht and is imbued of perfectly artificial qualities, sometimes dystopian, that affords the composition of virtual listening spaces, finely detailed and hyper-digital
